EMS 20th Anniversary stamp template (English)

2019 is the 20th Anniversary of the EMS Cooperative. To mark this occasion, EMS postal operators around the world are invited to issue in September a joint 20th anniversary stamp where they can highlight to their own customers the importance of their Express Mail Service (EMS) and how they connect with members of the EMS Cooperative globally. The commemorative stamp will be valuable for the Philatelic community and so operators around the world are encouraged to issue their own joint version.

Founded at the UPU Beijing Congress on 10 September 1999, the EMS Cooperative was created to bring together postal operators to form the largest delivery network for express mail worldwide. For 20 years, EMS Cooperative members have achieved significant success developing EMS to provide customers with fastest postal product, combining speed with reliability, affordability and a strong customer focus. The reach of the EMS Cooperative network is at a record level: it now covers 97% of global EMS traffic, including all major world markets.

The special 20th anniversary stamp template has been created by the UPU's International Bureau to celebrate the occasion. The template is available in five languages and space has been set aside for members to add their own country name and flag to indicate their partnership with the EMS Cooperative over the years.

All EMS Cooperative members are encouraged to use this template for the stamp to help promote this important anniversary and the success of EMS around the world. The date of issue for the joint stamp is from 10 September 2019 and so interested members should get in touch as soon as possible for details.
