The International Bureau reminds designated operators to close all open COVID-19-related force majeure cases

Please find attached the English and French versions of International Bureau circular 38 of 27 February 2023, entitled “Update on force majeure cases relating to the COVID-19 pandemic”.
Some designated operators have declared, via EmIS message, several COVID-19-related force majeure cases owing to the impact on various aspects of postal operations. Therefore, the International Bureau wishes to clarify that the purpose of the attached circular is to remind designated operators to close all open COVID-19-related force majeure cases notified to the International Bureau in 2020, 2021 and 2022. If any such force majeure case has not ended, please update the International Bureau by sending a new “open case” form containing the relevant information.
