Further to EmIS 023/2025 (below), the designated operator of Suriname, Suriname Postal Corporation (Surpost), wishes to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that all postal activities have now returned to normal.
Surpost thanks all Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding and patience.
EmIS 023/2025
The designated operator of Suriname, Suriname Postal Corporation (Surpost), wishes to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that Surpost personnel have called a strike, effective from 19 February 2025 and until further notice.
As a result, there may be disruption to Surpost’s operations, including delays in the processing and handling of mail.
Negotiations are ongoing and Surpost will provide relevant updates via EmIS. Any questions should be addressed to Surpost via the usual channels.
