Singapore Post - spread the festive cheer

The end of the year is the peak time for international express customers ordering e-commerce. Posts around the world are investing in additional resources and working hard to ensure that customers receive their international express items on time for holiday celebrations.

One EMS operator, Singapore Post, has been helping its customers at this time of year by offering an up to 25% discount to ‘Spread the festive cheer’. Offering a discount off EMS rates towards the end of the year is perfect timing as this is when many customers in Singapore wish to send gifts to their loved ones overseas.

The campaign usually runs from November until the end of February and so it can be part of holidays and shopping events around the world such as Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Single's Day, Christmas and New Year. It's targetted at popular destinations such as Australia, China, Japan, South Korea, UK and the USA. For this year the discount will also be available in Indonesia.

'Spread the festive cheer' is part of a Singapore's drive to keep improving its service to international express customers and grow EMS volume. Another successful strategy has been to help drive growth for local SMEs through developing international exports using Singapore Post's 'Ship Smart' experience. The idea is summed up through the acronym SLOG: Start Local Onwards Global. Singapore Post has been working to boost global presence by working with SMEs to share its international expertise, e-commerce knowledge and understanding of international last mile deliveries.

Singapore Post has been listening to its customers and has responded by offering flexibility in delivery choices, greater convenience (165 POPStations islandwide), engaging delivery notifications, improving sorting efficiency and productivity. All this work has paid off and customers in Singapore have highly ranked Singapore Post in independent surveys in the recent years.
