In 2018, Latvia was one of only three designated postal operators worldwide to meet the levels required to attain a Gold EMS performance award. To ensure that customers in Latvia are aware of its high-quality EMS service, Latvia Pasts has invested in a marketing campaign to promote its express services resulting in 198.4% EMS growth over the last year.
At the start of 2018, Latvia Pasts Express changed its brand visual identity, including a redesign of its logo and associated brand guidelines for all aspects of the service. The new logo is now visible at all customer access points, including on a new fleet of delivery vehicles.
In 2018, Latvia Pasts also launched a new website specifically for express mail with a clean design and a new look. The new website is available in Latvian, Russian and English and is fully compatible with mobile devices www.expresspasts.lv. The international express mail market in Latvia is crowded and the overwhelming choice on offer can be confusing for customers. Latvia Pasts’ re-designed express mail website helps e-commerce customers as it provides clear advice on packaging, country-specific delivery information, a price calculator and a size compliance check. Further support is available in its special ‘My express mail’ portal for customers.
The new visual identity was combined with new advertisements, using slogans such as ‘You only have one day’ and ‘You can’t know everything about sending goods abroad’. The EMS service was promoted in in Post Offices leaflets, posters and on social media. Special sales promotions were targeted at business-to-business clients and included a 20% discount for 100 new customers for deliveries in Europe.
EMS in Latvia has consistently an excellent EMS service as demonstrated by Latvia Pasts’ Gold EMS performance awards received in 2015, 2016 and 2018. Now, Latvia Pasts Express' high service combined with its new sales and marketing campaigns means that customers in Latvia are aware of, and using, its excellent international EMS service.
