Further to EmIS 136/2022 (below), the designated operator of Austria, Österreichische Post, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that the IT problems at Vienna Airport and the airmail unit have been resolved considerably faster than anticipated and that Österreichische Post has resumed the provision of outbound airmail services.

The designated operator of Austria, Österreichische Post AG, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that, owing to serious IT problems at Vienna Airport and the airmail unit, Österreichische Post is currently unable to provide outbound airmail services for letter and parcel post. It is continuing to accept and process inbound airmail, but processing of these items may also be delayed.
