EmIS 003/2026
The designated operator of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, PostNL, wishes to inform Union member countries and their designated operators that, since Saturday, 3 January 2026, severe weather conditions have caused many delays in the transportation of domestic and international letter mail and parcels. Heavy snowfall and icy roads have led to traffic disruptions at main highway connections. Many outgoing and incoming international flights at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport have been cancelled or rerouted to airports in Belgium, France and Germany. In addition, many national and international railway connections have been delayed, disrupted or cancelled.
PostNL thanks Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding and will provide further updates on this situation via EmIS as necessary.
