Poste Italiane announces ground handlers strike at all Italian airports.

The designated operator of Italy, Poste Italiane, would like to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that certain Italian unions have announced a 24-hour strike involving ground handlers and all other airport services personnel, commencing at 00.01 CEST on 8 September 2023 at all Italian airports.
Disruptions are to be expected in the handling of inbound and outbound airmail at Milan’s Linate and Malpensa airports. Mitigation measures will be taken at the airmail units, but the impact is nevertheless expected to continue over the weekend until 10 September 2023.
